Initiating the Wine UnClub Program


Ok, so you're all signed up and ready for some profitable Wine UnClub action! How do you actually get started with promoting your store with this program? We've outlined some simple first steps for you to follow to get the ball rolling in your area. Remember this program is exclusive to you in your town (or neighborhood if in a large city) so your competition will be limited allowing you to go for it ASAP!


Step 1 – Educate yourself about all features of this program. Remember, this is a valuable service you'll be offering to your customers meant to connect them to your store's operation and doesn't require that you become a wine expert.


Step 2 – Acquire, if you haven't already, a mailing list of all the potential customers in your area.


Step 3 -Download and hard copy the current VinoBlog/newsletter of the National Wine UnClub from the www.thehomewinecourse.com site.


Step 4 - Set up a poster board/end cap display with the Wine UnClub newsletter and The Home Wine Course workbook to more effectively declare your intentions to connect your store operation with your customers' needs.


Step 5 - Create your own welcome notice and specials list (if desired) as an insert or simply stamp your store's name on the Wine UnClub newsletter and mail this out to your potential customer base inviting them to become members of your store's Wine UnClub program. Be sure to mention all the benefits and features of the program you are going to offer (Levels 1, 2, or 3 – see Promotional Levels page). Be ready to answer thoroughly any and all questions your potential Wine UnClub members may have about the program.


Step 6 - Host an in-store (if allowed in your area) or off-property wine tasting event at which you either gift or invite members of the tasting party to become Wine UnClub members.


Step 7 – Have fun!!!
